STP Update

Good Morning,

Monthly

Energy Scorecard

  • November – Up 7 aMW
  • December – Up 723 aMW
  • January – Up 1,453 aMW
  • February – Down 8 aMW

December and January are the big movers this week with enough added to the forecast to all but wipe out the cuts we saw over the previous three weeks.  December’s added 723 aMW left it slightly below the historical average, while January’s additional 1,453 well above average, but still slightly below the initial forecast from four weeks ago.  November and February stayed essentially flat at 7 and 8 aMW respectively.

Daily

While November didn’t change much as an aggregate, the current and last week differed enough to show up on the chart.  December immediately increased and maintained that elevated level throughout the month.  January saw a massive jump (nearly 2,400 aMW) during the first several days before falling to a more subdued 1,300 aMW increase.  February had minor changes scattered through the entirety of the month.

Year on Year

December’s increase pushed it ahead of 2013 and 2015, while January was able to pass all but 2016.  November and February held their position from last week.
