STP Update

Good Morning,

The following reports reflect the energy impact of the most recent NWRFC STP.

Monthly

Energy Scorecard

  • August – Down 3 aMW
  • September – Up 192 aMW
  • October – Down 531 aMW
  • November – Down 797 a MW

August shook off 3 aMW following last week’s impressive 900 aMW addition, apparently feeling fairly comfortable with that forecast.  October and November both appear to be in free-fall for the third-consecutive week with another 531 and 797 aMW reduction respectively.  September’s modest 192 aMW increase marked the only month without a reduction.

Daily

Upwards of 1,100 aMW increase in the forecast from the 8th-12th for August, but that is negated by a decrease in the last week of the month.  September gets a solid 200 aMW increase from the 8th through the remainder of the month, while October and November see sharp reductions throughout.

Year on Year

Last week’s increase was enough to push August above 2001, 2009, and 2010, but it still falls short of all other years.  Meanwhile, November is showing a forecast far below every other year this century.
