STP Update

Good Afternoon,

Monthly

Energy Scorecard

  • July – Down 219 aMW
  • August – Down 62 aMW
  • September – Down 80 aMW
  • October – Down 94 aMW

July had 219 aMW cut in the most recent STP update, and that’s as exciting as it got as the rest of the months had even less action.  August, September, and October are basically flat for the second consecutive week as each had cuts of less than 100 aMW.  We also got the first November forecast, but we don’t have another week to compare it to (other than the historical average, which is 460 aMW less).

Daily

While July had a net-reduction for the month, the next week is front loaded with an increase as high as 1200 aMW by the 12.  This is slowly eroded through the remainder of July and is followed by a mostly-lowered August as well.  September had its largest cut from the 8th through the 16th, while October was mostly reduced around its final week.

Year on Year

With each new update we can see that August is forecasting comfortably around the average.  October-2017 is now standing out a bit more as it’s the largest year since 2013.
